During the first few weeks of the school year, each class has been busy voting in their class representatives for School Council. The children who wanted to represent their class made posters and presented to their classmates why they would make a good school councillor; following this each child voted anonymously for the pupil they wanted to be represented by.
The School Council has an important role within the school providing a platform for pupil voice, allowing pupils to have a real say on issues that affect them. School council can provide a meaningful way in which pupils can voice their opinions and have their views taken into account.
Congratulations to the school councillors who have been elected this year!
