Jane Reynolds – Co-opted

I taught as a Primary School teacher for many years in Southern Ireland, mainly Year 1 and 2 as well as a few years in Special Educational Needs. This part of my career I remember fondly. It is wonderful to see my past pupils in University now! Leaving teaching behind when I moved to the UK, I have had a colourful career with the most recent role as Welfare Adviser in York St John University for ten years. To have had the opportunity to teach young children and then go on to support and guide young people facing challenges at University was fulfilling. I felt honoured to be part of their journey, help them overcome barriers and excel. I currently work as a Project Manager in an American IT company, yes, a real change but a super challenge. It’s never too late to challenge yourself! My colourful career and having two children here at Sutton, leaves me well equipped to contribute to the governance of this wonderful gem of a school.
