Jessica Porter – Chair of Governors. Governor for Safeguarding

Hi, I’m Jess and I am the Chair of Governors. I moved to the village in 2020 and my oldest child joined the school in 2021. When she joined, the school very quickly had an impact on me; helping me to feel settled and part of a caring and kind village community. I am a secondary school teacher and have taught at state and independent schools in London and now Yorkshire. I was previously Director of Teaching and Learning at a selective school in London, where I had responsibility for leading innovation and creativity in teaching and learning. I am now Head of Geography and love establishing a sense of awe and wonder for the world in the students I teach.
