Film Festival Trip

Recently, Year 4/5/6 attended the Into Film festival at the Vue Cinema.  The children enjoyed watching Aladdin.  Two of our Year 4 children have taken on the role of reporters for the event and their accounts are filed below.

Year 4, 5 and 6 Magical Trip to Vue,

Reported by William, Sutton Standard, Sutton on the Forest, Year 4 pupil, York.

Last Thursday, Year 4, 5 and 6 went to Vue in Clifton Moor to watch the magical movie of Aladdin.

After taking the register, the children got on the coach, which was waiting outside the school gates.  About 30 minutes later, the children arrived at the massive cinema.  When the children settled down in their seats, they waited for the other schools to arrive.  The reason why so many other schools were there was because it was the Into Film Festival.  When the film started, (which was at 10 o’clock), the room went silent and all the children focussed on the big screen.  I must say the best part of the film was when Aboo was scared because the flying carpet was following him.

An hour and a half later, the film finished and all the children headed back to their coach to go back to school.

Our reporter spoke to one of the children who said, “I thought the film was great.  It had lots of funny parts!”

Do you think the children will go next year?

Year 4 Amazing Vue

Reported by Grace, Sutton Standard, Sutton on the Forest

Last Thursday, Year 4, 5 and 6 went to Vue Cinema to watch Aladdin.

After registration, Year 4/5/6 got on a big coach which had about 60 seats.  At 9.30am, the excited children go to the cinema.  Next, they sat down and there were lots of other children because it was part of a film festival (Into Film), which is where children get free tickets to see films they have not seen before.  At ten o’clock, the film started and it was Aladdin.  The funniest thing about the film was the big blue genie who came out of the lamp.

After the film, the coach came to take the happy children back to school in time for lunch.

Our reporter spoke to Mrs Fineran (Year 4 teacher), “What a fun day we had.  The film was so funny I nearly cried!” she laughed.

Would you like to see this movie?
