Canadian Airforce join in the Big Walk

The children had a wonderful afternoon with members of the Royal Canadian Airforce in school, who talked to them about the local Second World War base, Eastmoor, and the Canadian airmen that were stationed there, on the 75th anniversary of the air base. The children were fascinated to hear about the work of the RCAF and about their aeroplanes and asked some very intelligent questions at the end of the presentation. The children were participating in the Walk 4 Wildlife in an attempt to set a new Guiness World Record for the most people walking at the same time for an organised event. The Canadian Airmen were keen to join in and the children loved it!
