I am thrilled to welcome you to Sutton on the Forest Church of England Primary School.
We are very lucky to have such superb facilities in which to nurture, motivate and educate our children. From extensive outside space for outdoor learning, through to a very large hall for collective worship, sports and performing arts, our small school has some big opportunities for all!
At Sutton we welcome children, their parents and carers into a friendly and exciting environment where respect for others and positive attitudes towards work and behaviour are firmly embedded. The children’s well-being and education are at the heart of all we do and our Christian values provide a strong foundation for all that we achieve.
We offer an exciting, broad and balanced curriculum where children are encouraged to be independent thinkers and make informed choices about their learning. We ensure a wide range of experiences, through visits, music, sport and the performing arts. We consider the skills of communication, numeracy and literacy to be the foundation for our learning and we are proud of our standards and achievements.
The school has an open door policy and we encourage parents and carers to feel welcomed into school at any opportunity, whether it is to talk about their child’s progress, see their child achieve and perform, be part of our social events or to discuss any concerns or difficulties their child may have.
Relationships throughout the school are fundamental to a positive ethos. We have a very skilled and supportive Governing Body who work in close partnership with the school community to ensure there is mutual respect and trust, as well as challenge, ambition and drive. We listen to the views of our pupils and parents and use them to shape the direction of the school.
Come and see our fantastic school in action and feel the positive atmosphere for yourself. To arrange a visit, please contact the school office.
