Year 2 have had wonderful time learning about 2D and 3D shapes over the past couple of weeks. To test their 3D shape knowledge, Miss Hodkin challenged year 2 to create 3D shapes that had the correct number of edges and vertices but they were only allowed to use straws and blue tack!

All the children worked really well in pairs to construct different 3D shapes, and all their completed shapes had the correct properties! Altogether, the children created many tetrahedrons, square based pyramids, cubes and even a triangular prism!
