Year 3/4 have been learning about some of the United Kingdom’s most influential kings and queens in their history lessons this term. We have also really enjoyed reading a Tudor tale in literacy, so went to visit Temple Newsam house in Leeds to learn more about the Tudor way of life and how rich Tudor lords and ladies lived.

All the children had an excellent day taking part in lots of activities including a house tour, source analysis, making an inventory, handling replica artefacts, dressing up in costume and learning a Tudor dance! A great day was had by all and the staff at Temple Newsam complemented the class on their enthusiasm and the insightful questions they asked during the day. A big thank you to the lovely staff at Temple Newsam house for having us, we certainly all learnt a lot!
