Punctuality and protocol for dealing with children not collected from school at the end of the school day/activity

As you are aware, the majority of children arrive at school on time between 8.50am and 9am; we appreciate this. However, there are an increasing number of children who are entering school after this time.
As soon as the children reach class, the day’s routines begin, the register is taken and teachers start the first lesson. Children who arrive late can disrupt both the teacher and their peers’ learning, and this also has a negative impact on their own learning.
We understand that a child may be late as a ‘one-off’, but persistent lateness is not acceptable and, where this is the case, we will be contacting you to address this.
If your child is late please wait with them at reception; a member of staff will then take them to class.

In addition please read the attached policy which covers arrangements for the end of the school day.
